I was elected as a conservative councillor in 2022 for the new Ridgeway Ward in North Enfield. I was brought up in Teddington, Middlesex and moved to Enfield after getting married in 1984. My wife and I have two children, both now married.
I graduated from Leicester University with a degree in Civil Engineering. I have enjoyed a varied career working in the civil service, the construction industry and latterly in housing association development.
I was first elected to Enfield Council in 1998 and have served as deputy leader of the Conservative Group, chairman of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee and on most other council committees. My main political interests are housing, regeneration and planning. On a personal level, I enjoy playing tennis and the company of my friends."
