On August 23, 2024, Thomas was appointed as the Deputy Chairman without Portfolio at the Enfield North Conservatives Association. He had previously stood during the local election in the Bullsmoor Ward on May 5, 2022, and served as the Chairman of the Young Conservatives from 2022 until his recent appointment.
